This Privacy Policy explains how DNB Academy collects, uses and protects your personal information when you visit our website, contact us or join our programs.

01Information we collect

• Information you give us: your name, email address, phone number and anything you submit through our forms, applications or surveys, or when you book a call.
• Purchase information: what you bought and your billing details. Card payments are handled by our payment providers, and we never see or store your full card number.
• Communications: messages you send us by email, SMS, WhatsApp or social media, and our replies.
• Program activity: your progress, the tracks you submit and the feedback you receive inside our programs.
• Information collected automatically: your IP address, device and browser, the pages you visit and how you use our site, collected through cookies and similar technologies.

02How we use it, and why

We use your information for these purposes, each with a legal basis under data protection law:

• To give you access to what you've bought or signed up for (performance of a contract).
• To answer your questions, review applications and schedule calls (steps before a contract and our legitimate interests).
• To send you updates and offers by email or SMS (your consent, or our legitimate interests where the law allows it for existing customers). You can opt out at any time.
• To measure and improve our website and advertising (your consent where the law requires it, otherwise our legitimate interests).
• To keep our business secure, prevent fraud and enforce our terms (legitimate interests).
• To keep tax and accounting records and meet other legal duties (legal obligation).

03Marketing messages

You can opt out of marketing at any time by clicking unsubscribe in our emails, replying STOP to our SMS, or emailing support@dnbacademy.eu.

04Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with trusted providers who help us run DNB Academy, and only as much as they need to do their job. These include:

• Payment providers (such as Stripe), to process payments
• Website, email and booking providers, to run our site, programs, messages and calls
• Meta and Google, for advertising and website analytics

Your mentor and our team can see the information they need to support you. We may also share information when the law requires it or to protect our legal rights.

05International transfers

Some of our providers are based outside the UK and the European Economic Area, for example in the United States. When your information is transferred there, it is protected by recognised safeguards, such as an adequacy decision (including the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework) or Standard Contractual Clauses.

06How long we keep it

We keep customer records for as long as you have access to our programs and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting laws require. We keep enquiry and marketing information until you unsubscribe or it is no longer needed. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

07Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive a copy in a portable format, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To use any of these rights, email support@dnbacademy.eu.

If you're unhappy with how we handle your information, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority: in Portugal this is the CNPD (cnpd.pt), or you can contact the authority where you live, such as the ICO in the UK.

08Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No method of sending or storing data online is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

09Children

Our website and programs are not aimed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their information. Under-18s need a parent's or guardian's consent to join a program (see our Terms).

10Other websites

Our website may link to other websites. We're not responsible for their content or privacy practices, so please read their privacy policies.

11Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post any changes on this page with a new "last updated" date.
