How joining actually works
We'd rather you know exactly what to expect before you ever talk to us.
01
Pick your starting point
Start with Foundations straight away, or apply for 1:1 Mentorship if you want a mentor working on your tracks with you.
02
A conversation, not a pitch
For mentorship, you'll talk with our team about your music, where you're stuck and where you want to go.
03
An honest recommendation
If mentorship is the right fit, we'll show you how it works. If it isn't, we'll tell you, and point you to the program that is.
Questions
DNB Academy reviews: your questions
Yes. DNB Academy is a drum & bass production academy. We’ve mentored over 500 producers 1:1, more than 15,000 producers have used our courses, presets and sample packs, and over 5,300 are active in our community. This page shows our students’ own video reviews, messages and Trustpilot reviews.
It’s built for producers who want to finish and release drum & bass, with feedback from working artists instead of guesswork. Many of the students in the videos above describe years of slow progress on their own before joining. If you’d like to try it first, you can start free.
Students most often mention the honest feedback on their tracks, learning directly from working drum & bass artists, finishing and releasing music, and the community. You can watch all of their video reviews above, in their own words.
Vibe Chemistry went from bedroom producers to a platinum-certified UK #5 hit with Rudimental and Charlotte Plank, nominated for Song of the Year at the 2024 BRIT Awards, with over 500 million streams. IYRE releases on Hospital Records and was nominated Best Newcomer at the Drum&BassArena Awards in 2021 and 2023. Leniz releases on Liquicity, Galacy and Fokuz, with a debut album featured by UKF. Marble Elephant release on Celsius, Fokuz and C Recordings and run their own label, Fragrance Sounds. Red Manta releases on Galacy Records, The In Kill signed to Abducted LTD within his first year, Octavate formed through DNB Academy and signed to Dispatch Recordings, and Hush releases on DeVice and Viper Recordings. Students have also released on Shogun Audio, Monstercat and DnB Allstars and performed at Let It Roll, Liquicity and Rampage. Every result belongs to the artist who earned it.
Working drum & bass artists who are actively producing and releasing music. They run the live sessions, give feedback on students’ tracks and mentor students 1:1.
DNB Foundations is our complete self-paced program: 300+ lessons, a weekly live feedback session on your music, and every course, preset and sample pack we’ve made. The 1:1 Mentorship pairs you with your own mentor, a working drum & bass artist, who works through your own tracks with you. We only take a small number of mentorship students at a time.
Yes. We work with complete beginners through to producers who are already releasing music. Foundations gives you the full core program, and the 1:1 Mentorship adapts to exactly where you are.
Any DAW. Our lessons teach the techniques and ideas behind great drum & bass rather than one program’s buttons, so you can follow them in FL Studio, Ableton Live, Logic Pro or whichever DAW you use. In the 1:1 Mentorship, your mentor works with you in your own DAW. Great music can be made in any DAW with the right knowledge.
DNB Foundations is €97 a month (cancel anytime), or a one-time payment for lifetime access. 1:1 Mentorship depends on the program and how much 1:1 time you want, so we go through the options with you on a free call first. Payment plans are available.
